Lance & Ashley’s Wedding @ the Indiana Historical Society… June 29, 2010

Filed under: Ima,canal,downtown,indiana historical society,wedding — Jennifer Cooney @ 3:33 pm

This was my first time in the Historical Society, so needless to say, it was our first wedding there as well. It is an amazing venue for an event. I would highly recommend it.

Ashley and Lance braved the heat for some fun photographs at the IMA and the Canal. Then, they got married outside the Historical Society building right by the canal. The ceremony was beautiful and I have to give a shout out to Miss Amaya the flower girl. She took her time delicately tossing each individual flower petal down they all had a purpose :-) I look at her mom, Amanda to see if she saw this and she was tearing up so…of course…I cried too :-)

Hoover family…I must say, the decorations and all the attention to detail made the reception so beautiful! We also loved the delicious food :-) Whoever had the idea for the pasta bar…kudos!

Your family and friends were so great to us! We appreciate you hiring us for your wedding.

We hope you are having a wonderful time on your honeymoon!

Baby Joey in Milwaukee! June 24, 2010

We went to Milwaukee to photograph Tommy’s friend’s family for their sons 1 year photographs. This was my first time in Milwaukee and I really like what I saw of the city.

We went down by the lake front and did photographs…the breeze was delightful on a hot, sunny day & Joey was full of smiles. Especially when we brought out Gary, the giraffe. He Loves Gary!

Then we drove to a second location to do some more urban photographs and Joey, totally worn out from working hard as a model, passed out on the drive over. So…we grabbed a drink at a local Tea Shop and waited for the little one to wake up. Joey was super happy after his nap…not like me I would not be so cooperative for a session after I took a nap. Hahaha.

Enjoy the preview! It was truly a pleasure to get to meet you and do your families pics!

Joey is such a well mannered, cute little guy!

Ella, Cameron, & Harper @ the Arts Park…

On a very humid Fathers’ Day,  I met up with one of my favorite families to work with at the Arts Park in Broad Ripple. I was so surprised how big little Harper had gotten. Ella was the same beautiful, wonderful little model and Cameron cracked me up with his silly faces.

They are a family of baseball players and it was really cute that they all had thier own mitts and hats. We did some fun pics of all the family tossing the ball around.

There was a little water fountain and Harper almost ended up swimming in it….if she had her way she would of been. But I love the pics of them splashing and laughing.

I truly appreciate you guys coming to us again for your photographs! I know how busy little kids become when they get mobile so I know you probably wondered what all we got of Harper but we ended up getting so many good shots of her and the family! It was hard to narrow down for the blog.

Have a great day! The rest will be up soon….

Rich & Amanda’s Wedding June 21, 2010

Filed under: new hope, the hawthorns country club, wedding — Jennifer Cooney @ 8:04 pm

We met Rich & Amanda at a Bridal Show and then also realized we had mutual friends as well. So we booked with them and I knew after doing their engagement photographs they would be a lot of fun at their wedding.

They have dated since high school and I think they have been ready for this day for awhile.

I have been meeting some really sweet flower girls lately and little Julia was far from the exception. She is adorable and was so good! She is the little 1 year old and was pulled down the isle in a wagon. It was so cute!

They had their reception at The Hawthorns Country Club. It was our first time photographing there and I would highly recommend it! The staff was fabulous and there are a million places to do photographs! Plus if you are looking for a new idea for a photograph you can do “sand angels” like Rich (See pic below :-)

Thank you Rich & Amanda for letting us be such a big part of your day! I hope you are enjoying St. Lucia!

The New Addition: Max & Family June 19, 2010

I photographed John, Kara, and Olivia 2 years ago at the IMA when Olivia was 10 months old. She is that little girl that is sitting in between both of her parents , which are standing and she has the yellow flower.
I always get compliments on that photograph! One of my favorites. So I was excited to see them again and meet their new baby, Max.

Olivia was sleepy when I got there so she was bribed by a huge lollipop and promises of photographs swinging which turned out super cute. Max was adorable and easily talked into smiles.

You guys have a beautiful family! Thanks for letting me come again and do your photographs!

Have a great summer!

Pete, Jenny, & a little one on the way…

I feel like it has been a long time since I have gotten to do a maternity session. But I love doing them! I think being pregnant is a beautiful thing and I love the celebration of that!

Jenny and Pete were wonderful for their session! They got engaged at the IMA about 3 years ago so it was a special place to the two of them to come back and do their maternity session.

Their due date is in 1 month so I was impressed by how great her belly looked so close to her delivery date! She looks great.

Congratulations to both of you for the baby on the way!

Enjoy your preview. I had so much fun doing these!

Geoffrey & Jillian @ the Arts Park June 16, 2010

I will admit sometimes I am hesitant when someone picks out a location that I am unsure about.

They told me that they wanted to do photographs at the Arts park and I thought that it could be ok but I wasn’t sure….the last time I was there was about 7 years ago on a bad e-harmony date…so it didn’t leave the best impression on me :-)

But this place is amazing! It has changed a lot since I had last been. They have a lot of interactive art work you are welcome to climb on and take photo’s with. Which a fun welcome change to be allowed to climb on the things being displayed.

We have had all those storms the past 4 days so the White River which bumps up to this area was flooded and really wild looking.

These two were fabulous and fun for their session!

I hope you guys enjoy the preview! ( I was laughing that it started raining as soon as I got in the car last night :)
