Melissa & John: In Love In Louisville October 31, 2009

Melissa was referred to us by my friend Erin. We are super excited to shoot her wedding next summer!

Melissa & John met in Louisville and live there so we came down there to do their engagement photographs. We went to Cherokee Park which was huge and beautiful! They were so fabulous and fun for their photographs. At the end of the session we did a few on Bardstown Road near a mural that I liked.

Thank you so much for letting us do your engagement and wedding photographs!

Beautiful Sisters Neely & Maeve

Beth & Josh brought their precious little girls out for a family photo session. Their little ones were shy at first but certainly warmed up a bit into the session. It was an amazingly perfect fall day. It was warm. The leaves were at a peak color.

When we were on a trail I like to photograph on the leaves were just falling by the dozens from the trees. It was pretty magical. The girls were spinning around with the biggest leaves trying to catch them. It was really sweet.

Beth is really creative and made their outfits which I adored. If I have another baby I will want her to make some of those sweet dresses for me :-)

Towards the end of the session I took the girls by themselves to another area of the park for some individual photographs. Sometimes that works out better for photographs …the kids tend to warm up a little quicker with us one on one. And towards the end I got some amazing photographs!

Josh & Beth I hope you enjoy the photographs! We enjoyed meeting you.

Paige, Baby D and his apple

Filed under: children, family, siblings, tuttles orchard — Jennifer Cooney @ 8:00 am

These are one of my favorite families to photograph. Little Paige says the funniest things. She is smart and so grown up acting. She asked me several times today if she was being good and if she was smiling better then last time.

Baby D was concerned mainly with his apple and his mom. He was pretty hilarious if we tried to do a family photograph. As soon as we posed his mom by anyone else he went over to her and tried to peel her from his dad or Paige. He was extremely protective of his momma and wanted her only with him for photographs.

Ginny & Jason, thank you for coming out and letting us do your photographs again.

Enjoy your sneak peak!

Playing in the Rain… October 30, 2009

Elizabeth and her family came down from Northern Indiana for a session. Since they came from so far and we were not sure what the weather would be like the next day either, we went out to the IMA to hope for no rain. It was sprinkling and raining a bit on and off…but it worked out great.

We went and did some shots under the canopy with the trees and then we got some cool shots with an umbrella.

They have two little ones: Emily and Daniel. Emily really took a liking to Tommy. She smiled and laughed hard at his ridiculousness. Daniel was just composed and hanging out; we did not hear a peep of him the whole session.

Thank you Elizabeth & Ben for braving the weather and coming out for our session! I hope you enjoy the preview. It was nice meeting you guys :-)

Caleb at Cool Creek

Heather, Kurt and Caleb came down from Tipton to do a session at Cool Creek Park.

It was beautiful up there. I should do more sessions here!

Caleb is totally a daddy’s boy. Everything we asked him to do for a photograph he wanted his dad to do as well…which I thought it was pretty fun and cute.

In the end we got some beautiful family pics and some great ones of Caleb which is a cutie!

Thanks guys for coming down for the session!

Jessie & Patrick…

These two are fun, beautiful and totally fashionable. I would have Jessie come dress me daily and do my hair if I could afford it :-)

We met them downtown Carmel and did some photographs around the arts district and on a round about…well…because we like to live in danger …hahaha

It would be hard to take a bad photograph of them.

I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak! We enjoyed spending some time with you.

Talk to you later…

Izzy is cheating on her mom… October 28, 2009

Izzy’s mom is a photographer and so when Ashley brought her family to have me get some pics at a mini session I think that Izzy was quite uncomfortable with it.

She is loyal and true to her momma :)

But we played with her and stuck around until we got her a bit warmed up and knew we had something sweet.

Thanks Ashley for coming out! I hope you enjoy them!

Good luck with everything!

Jennifer
