Livi & Madeline June 18, 2009

I loved how different these two little girls are from one another. They have their own personalities and each have a look of their own. Livi has the light brown wavy hair, Madeline with dark brown short curly hair. They both have the same nose and the same parents and that is about it :-) Livi really warmed up to us and was even showing us her “spacey face” which was hilarious. Madeline found peek a boo about the funniest thing we could do and that brought out the laughter and smiles in her. She has the funniest fish face I have probably ever seen as well!

Andy and Mary are really hands on parents and really funny. I can see where Libby got her sense of humor and personality from. At one point she told me I could sit by her and then she knew where she would like everyone else to sit as well. She even had her own idea for posing as well. It is funny at just under 4 years old how kids can be so observant and aware of something like posing for a camera I don’t think that is something that ever will stop surprising me.

We laughed because Livi kept asking for more water she definitely sounded like a supermodel with all these demands in between shots! But when a little one is drinking out of a Dora sippy cup I guess that takes all the Diva out of it :-)

But most importantly, what I want to leave you with this evening since I am feeling a bit sentimental is when you see a little girl twirl around like a ballerina or run around with a huge smile on her face…that is magic. How often do we as adults take a minute to run and let the worries of the world fall away? As I was looking at their photographs tonite Livi made me want to take back some of the days this week where I worried way too much and did not run or twirl or laugh enough!

Thanks Andy & Mary for letting us do your family photographs! We look forward to seeing you again

The always entertaining Zoey Love!

I think Zoey is one little girl my other clients might think they know because ,well, she is everywhere on our pages and is so talked about. Basically because she is one of the funniest and most random little girls I know. If Maya were still here they would be getting into all kinds of shenanigans I am sure!

Mary, Zoey’s Gram, was in town so it was special we got to do some photographs of the two of them together then some nice family photographs. We did pics of Zoey in her tap and ballet outfits, as well, which was fun.

Wait until you scroll down this page to see the poses Zoey did…Yes the legs over the chair was all her idea. I can’t even believe the ideas she had for posing. And I  know her parents don’t have her watching America’s next top model so I don’t know how she even thinks of these things. She is a natural all the way!

Gretty, Eric, Mary and of course Zoe we love ya! Thanks for letting us do your photographs. Here is a sneak peak the rest will be up really soon.

I love the Love’s!

Elise at 3 months June 15, 2009

We did newborn photographs of Elise and her sister, Elena, and family shortly after she was born.

Today we went and did her 3 month photographs. I am glad we got to do your photographs again since we might not get to see you all again with your big move coming up soon.

Elise was wonderful for her session! I find it hilarious that she was rolling over again and again when put on her belly.

She has the sweetest face and I love those chunky thighs!

Good luck with moving and I hope you love it in Milwaukee!

Finn June 13, 2009

We went and did baby Finn’s photographs the other day. He is a little cousin to some of our favorite kids to photograph…Cameron and Ella! I am sure when all these little ones get together they have a blast!

We fell in love with Finn’s room and felt like we were not in Indiana anymore. Finn’s dad loves fish and they had a nautical theme in his room; it was really cool!

Here are a few photographs from Finn’s session! Thanks Meredith for letting us come and do his newborn photographs. We will have the rest up soon.

Paige and Baby D June 8, 2009

First of all I have to say Ginny you are the official first blog made in our new blog set up! You guys will find on all blogs after this bigger photo’s, easy ways to post comments and hopefully it is easier to navigate around.

Last October I photographed Paige and Baby D (not to be confused with Big D, Tommy’s friend and I originally thought was Baby D’s nickname as well :)

On Sunday, we got to do it again. Last year, I remember them both being cooperative and good…and it was just a good session overall…I certainly didn’t remember this little comedian, Paige, that showed up this year.

She was saying the funniest things!

She was a riot and talkative and completely independent. She even remembered exactly where she posed for a photo last time and was definitely disappointed when she realized that someone was in her special spot when she needed to replicate a particular pose from the past session! It cracked us up. But what was really sweet was she kept hugging my leg. For seemingly no reason. Now I have no problem with forcing the hugs out of kids but it feels a lot better when they just do it. Because we all know you can’t make a kid like you. They have their own impressions they make about people so I thought that was really sweet.

Now Tommy got on Baby D’s good side by being the ‘bubble blower.’ That’s right, you’d be surprised how happy those 99 cents can make a child. If only something that cost only 99 cents could bring such unimaginable joy to my life. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if bubbles could make us ecstatic? Well Baby D totally screamed with joy over the bubbles I am so glad we had them.

A couple of things Paige said that was funny to me that you guys will have to make a note of so you never forget…you will laugh about it for days to come…

-”my dad is totally the craziest person” (when asked who is funnier…mom or dad)
-”look at that hog” (after seeing a hawk flying above)
-”oh my gosh, look at that, you’ve got to be kidding me dude!” (upon seeing a really large tree)
-”I’m being really good” (for no reason as we were walking to another spot for pictures)

Paige also took her grandma’s sunglasses for a few shots. She has her poses all planned and knew exactly what to do.

Ginny you are such a pleasure to work with! You guys are a fun family and we hope to see more of you.
